View Full Version : Defragging problem

After defragging, I have discovered one cluster about three quarters of the way through by 4 GB HD that refuses to move (my drive is only about 45% full). Using a utility called ShowFat.exe, I have found the filename associated with this one cluster is 'c:\'. Viewing the file, i see the directory tree of my c drive. There is one other cluster at the front of the disk with the same name. I want to know whether I can move this cluster or safely remove it. I am interested in installing Linux and want to allocate about 1.5 GB to it, but with this cluster in the way, that's not possible. Any suggestions?
