Should I partition a hard disc of 20 or 40 gig?

Partitioning is a good way to organise different OS's, or to separate different disk formats (like NTFS and FAT).

Sooner or later, you have to muck around to get things balanced, that's a pain.

Your call, depends on why you want to. Don't do it for the sake of it. I haven't bothered with last few drives I have installed.

I find it really useful but I left myself a little short, next time I'll give windows 5gb.

It is really good if you are going to do a clean install then you can put important files on the D: and format the C: Especially if you have no CD RW!

You can use utilities such as Partition Magic to non-destructively resize / add /delete partitions to an existing setup. Of course, back up your important files just in case!!
