View Full Version : freezing

My old Pentium keeps freezing. It has only about 1/3 of its memory used and I regularly defrag, get rid of temp files, cookies etc.
It'll freeze when it's booting up (frequently) and whether or not I'm on line.
Any clues as to what I can do, apart from renewing the machine which finances won't allow. Thanks guys

Yeah, I'm freezing today, too ;-)

Have you tried doing a reformat? That often gives a PC a new lease of life.

What operating system do you use?

What size pentium is it?

How much hard disk space is free?

What is the total size of your ram?

How long has the operating system been installed?

How many programs do you have running on startup?

If you can, Write down the error message, and post it back.

If you can't find the answers to all of these questions, come back and we will help you.
