View Full Version : NT on a G4 Mac

Dear sir/s
as the subject line no doubt gives away my question, here's the crux of the matter. In my work I use programs only written for the WIN platform. e.g. Autocad 2000, 3D Studio Max and the like. However at home I run a Mac system. The thing is I cannot afford to purchase a decent Windows system, at least not at the moment.

I have heard that it is possible to run Win N T on a G4 Mac, please spare me the comments like, 'why would you want to'??, and such. I've gotten that from everyone I've asked about it so far, (especially down at the local Mac dealership).

What I need to know is will it work?, how can I make it work?, are there inherent problems due to the architecture?, what difficulties am I likely to encounter? etc.

Please, any help in this matter would be hugely appreciated.

Respectfully

You cannot run NT natively on a Mac. You can tho purchase bits of software that run Win9X and NT in an emulated mode. For most applications this is fine but they are not 100% perfect. I would suggest talking to your local Mac supplier.
