is there anyway to change the bootup password cauz my friends sets a new password and he forgot it . soo help us plze

I guess you are referring to the BIOS password. You can fix this by leaving your computer off for 6 months without any power (taking the power cords out too).

If you are in a hurry you can do this in a day. You'll need your motherboard book handy if you have one.

Open up you case and locate the CMOS reset jumper.

So many methods of getting it to reset so I'll just say take the jumper off for a few seconds then put it back on.

Start your computer up and enter the BIOS and put in all the configuration settings since it would all be cleared now and the password would no longer exist.

Hi,

What you didn't tell us is how old your computer is. If it's a computer older than, let's say 5 years, and if you have an AWARD bios (before a certain version, can't remember which)), you could enter the master password 'award_sw' without the quotes in place of your friend's password. This is always worth a try.
