View Full Version : insufficiant memory when formating C:

Hi everyone,
I am trying to reformat my C: drive using a Win95 boot disk.
After typing in the command format c: /s and pressing y at the next prompt it does a scan, gets to 74% then stops saying it has insufficiant memory. We have successfully done this before, the only change since we last did it is the addition of a network card.
I am running a P166MMX with 64MB RAM, 3GB HDD (half full) and Win95B.
Thanks in advance

James, I've had a similar problem which I solved by formatting without the /s option, then running 'sys c:' to make it bootable etc. HTH, Nick.
