I'm having troubles with my monitor setup.

Before I come back with the details, I want to remove the current driver and renew it.

Is this the way to remove it?
control panel/system/display adaptors/properties/remove.

If I remove the old driver and restart my machine before installing the new driver will I lose the monitor altogether and be in even more trouble? Should I install the new driver without restarting first?

Hope you can help....Ken

No thats fine, Windows will always bring up the display in some fashion, it will probably detect the video card as a SVGA card at worst and limit the screen resolution to 256 colour. The best advice for installing a third party driver is to read any readme files that come with the driver.
