Windows Media will play VCD though if it does not autostart you will need to go into the VCD from WM and manually select the songs

Windows Media Player can definitely play VCD's. VCD's don't autostart. So to play videos from VCD's, start Windows Media Player by going Start -> Run, then in the dialog box, type 'mplayer2' without the quotes and press Enter. In WMP, go File -> Open, then click on Browse. With the Open dialog box open, go to your the drive your VCD is in, then click on a folder called MPEGAV, by default you should see no file in the folder. To list the files in the folder, in the 'File Type' box, select 'All Files (*.*)' or something similar. This will reveal all the files in the folder disregarding their file extentions. All files with the .dat extension in the folder are VCD files, select the one you want and press Enter (or press Open).

Hope this helps
