I want to copy all vinyl tracks to my hard disk in .wma format and play them with Windows Media Player.

I am using audiograbber but the files are in .wav format.

These take up far to much space.

My question is how can I convert .wav format to .wma format.

As always help would be appreciated

Russell

May I suggest that you install musicmatch jukebox of another programme that'll encode to mp3. You can if you really want, play mp3 through windows media player.

Record the wav files and then use music match to encode them as mp3.

You can usually find musicmatch on the pcworld cover disk. From memory music match will encode to other music formats aside from mp3 aswell.

Thank you for your prompt response.
I have converted all .wav files.
The next step would be to convert .mp3 files to .wma format so I can play them using Microsoft -Windows Media play and take back ups on CD.

I do not have an mp3 player

Thanks again

Hi Russell,

If you download 'Simple MP Player' of the PCWorld cover disc, you should be away laughing

Any version of windows media player on the cover disk will play MP3. Or you could get www.ultraplayer.com it's free and it plays all the format that media player does and also realplayer formats (good for people like me who hate realplayer)
