The above link does not work!.

Vodafone have just upgraded our cable broadband, we did not want our drive dug up to connect to the fibre laid to footpath entrance.

We presume the test is adequate !.

Well the link has expired on that site.

BUT the speed test from the App, along with the expired message. Got an ISO downloading as well, so its slowed ever so slightly.

Bad write-up in the Press yesterday about Vodafone's FibreX.

Think we have upgraded to a "pup" in this case.

It's raining in ChCh.!!! and it's getting into the wiring/fibreX.

Never seen such a pathetic response from the internet, worse than dial-up.

A LOT depends on the area as well. I'm on FibreX Max-- Paying for 900Mbps Down 100 Up.

To quote VF
Actual user speeds will vary and are affected by various factors including how you’re connected to the internet (using a Gigabit Ethernet cable is better than WiFi, which could have a large impact on speed), the hardware and software used, number of devices connected, time of day, and where the data is downloaded from. In really good conditions, we expect you’ll get download speeds of up to 700-900 Mbps and upload speeds of up to 90-95 Mbps.

BTW-- To give some idea of the connection setup, this PC is running Via Cat5 Cable approx 15-20 mtrs and through two switches before it gets to the router.- and there two other people using the internet at the same time ( ones gaming) :)

Hi wai, getting in touch with local CCC Enable fibre company, to see about "thrusting" fibre up from the footpath into house.

Be interesting to see when they come, as their The Press article states they have 40,000 homes to service yet.

Thanks for the comment.

100/20 here on Fibre. It's good enough for us / 2 people. The fibre here goes from the fence / road across to the house under the concrete.

The house behind us is connected to the same fibre.

No possibility of any wired connection here well maybe ADSL2 if lucky. On Spark 4g wireless and we can both watch movies at the same time on different machines so very happy.

Hi Speedy, long time no see!!.

Did the front retaining wall ourselves (1965) and no way under/through that, new concrete border both sides of the new EQC asphalt driveway.

Hoping Enable when they sight the work can thrust it, they must have taken this into account, when setting fibre up.
