How do I create several short-cut links on a web page (like Firefox's opening page) then save it on the desktop?

So, when I next click open the saved Firefox page on the desktop, it opens with all the links (like a menu, sort of) ready for me to click.

I saw this on my friends PC but he doesn't know how to do it as it was done by a friend of his.

Is this what you are after http://www.thewindowsclub.com/create-single-desktop-shortcut-open-multiple-web-pages-windows

It creates as many links in one file that you want. You can even specify what browser opens what sites. Its a simple .bat file. Of course you can change the Icon to what ever you want to make it look more pretty :)

Thanks, wainuitech.

In your link, after created the bat file, all the 'specified' webpages will open when it is clicked.

I wish to open ONLY the 'required' webpage with all other webpages links shown as icon links on it like a 'menu'. I could then click the short-cut link as required.

Is there any other suggestions?

I would like to elaborate a little further to make myself clearer:

It's very similar to the Bookmarks Tool Bar in Firefox. Instead of saving the websites in the Bookmarks Tool Bar, it's saved on the webpage like a short-cut icon.

Oh Right, I think I know what you are referring to, seen something like that on one other persons computer. The one I saw was in the form of a wheel, but you can change the layout, add your own icons etc. It was some sort of Add-on that created it from memory. Apart from that I cant remember the rest of the details of hand.

This does similar, just tried it on FF57 and works fine, BUT it doesn't appear untill you open a new tab, so you may have to reset the home page to the tab.
