If you hover over the link in the email you'll see where it will actually take you, does that look the same as the URL you see in the email itself?

Nod32 Anti-virus apparently failed to detect it!?

I have deleted the email, CYaBro.

I always know what bills I have and whether or not they are due. Never been overdue, but should such a thing occur, I'd know that too.

And if I was to pay a bill, I don't do so by clicking on links, I go into online banking and do a Bill Payment, or if a one off, then the one off payment.

Beats me how these scammers succeed with those.

They aren't trying to get you to pay the bill.

This is their aim

"The online bill link and PDF attachment in these phishing emails will take you to a website where you’ll be asked to download a zip file. The zip file contains a javascript malware dropper that we assume will download ransomware to your device."

from the link in my previous post.

.

I know! But the excuse to get you to click on it in the first place....should be obvious that it is bogus.

..because there are probably no viruses or malware in the actual email.
The problem might be when you try & click on a link.

or it could just be they there scamming people to pay bogus invoices . Some are stupid enough to pay anything without checking that the scam invoice
matched up to a purchase order .

Some of these types of emails are actually just bogus invoices , nothing more. That scam has been around for years
