Ok so I have an ISO image of my MSDN copy of Visio 2013.

I have also downloaded all 28 updates released by Microsoft for Visio and want to "slipstream" these into the iso image.

The question is;

Do I just create a folder for each update (using the KB no. as the folder name) and extract the contents into those folders?

I presume the installer will apply the updates in the correct order as it recurses through them all.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers,

There is a program that can do it for you Office Integrator, but it looks like the link is dead (http://integrator.professorcpu.net/index.php?addons&id=213)

If it's like office updates you have to extract whats in the exe files (in the updates - the msp files). This is what you slipstream not the exe files

I'll see if I can find the site, on how to do this

Hmm there is a link to Softpedia on the above site. before it said the exe was a trojan (it maybe a false+)

I downloaded it again and it was clean

Problem solved in a manner of speaking....

I managed to successfully add SP1 to the original isos (goes in the "updates" folder"). Install went fine until I installed Office 365.Office 365 promptly uninstalled all my Ofice 2013 applications and despite multiple attempts to re-install would not work.

Quick Google search reveals that Office 365 is not compatible with standalone versions of previous office releases. Something to do with running Click2Run installs alongside MSI based installers. Further searches on Google revealed that MS are aware of this (since August 2016) and are still working on a fix. They did offer a free upgrade briefly to customers but this has since past.

Being the cheeky kiwi I am I decided to contact MS Support via chat and 30 minutes later they upgraded both my Project and Visio 2013 licenses to 2016 licenses.... for free.

Needless to say I'm pretty pleased as now all my Office apps work as they are the same version.

Looks like MS isn't all that bad..... well that might be an over-statement but fitting in this case.

Cheers,
