Is it possible to enter 'hard spaces' (like those in Word) in cells in Excel?

Can you elaborate on what you are tying to achieve in Excel? Samples....

Thanks for the replies. Special thanks to Wainui and RagDyeR (if you're still calling) - that was just what I wanted. I had done a search but didn't come up with this one.

Yeah, I want to say thanks for this as well.

Up to know I was unaware of 'non-breaking spaces', but used the Alt 0160 today and it worked a treat.

We've got an app at work which inappropriately strips spaces out of names, so James John would get altered to Jamesjohn, or Van Dyke to Vandyke, or Te Puna to Tepuna. The space issue now lets me correctly add spaces between names. The app still munts the capitalisation, but at least I've now got a bit more control.
