Have a friend who would like me to install a TraxData CD burner into his system.Have tried to locate info and scsi interface for it with little joy(no hits in NZ for this make of burner).Do I need to locate a TraxData interface or will one of the locally i.e. (adaptec)availible ones do the job.
Regards Chris.

hi Chris,

I'd be surprised if it wouldn't operate on any brand of SCSI host controller. Even an old ISA SCSI controller would be up to it as they can move up to 8MB per sec. Just make sure there are drivers for the controller for the version of windows you are running.

According to PC Magazine Online, the Traxdata ?2805 comes with an Advansys PCI SCSI interface. I would say that any SCSI card (of the appropriate version of SCSI) would do. Adaptec cards are pretty good, and seem to be pretty well the industry standard.

I found that with search.msn.com, which also showed www.traxdata.com as 'under construction'.
