Somehow Ive picked up this virus .. Ive run a few programs over the comp, but theres still stuff showing when defender does its thing.

Is there anything out there to fully remove it? I have searched for progs to get rid of it, but Id prefer something that you guys suggest! :)

Meery Christmas and thank you!

First , tell us how youve tried to remove it
where does defender find it (it may be unimportant leftovers that dont matter)

Make a bootable AV CD & run that
install malware bytes & scan
install NOD32 trial & scan (then uninstall , for now)
empty system restore
disable ALL other AV's when running another scanner (very important)
run scans is safe mode, if needed

hmmn
"Once it infects a computer, it makes a backdoor to allow more viruses to enter the infected system"
Plenty of viruses do this, if so it can certainly can make a mess .

Reset all your passwords, email, online banking, website passwords (better safe than sorry)
Sometimes the best bet is to wipe & reload. It all depends on just what this trojan has done .

yep - have a look at this - tells you everything about that nasty pos

Spyhunter seems to be good at it's job, and you can download and scan to see exactly what it finds (may surprise you how much there is!) HOWEVER - if you wanted to use it to remove evrything, you have to pay for it unfortunately

But, even to use it to see what you have to remove is probably a good idea

I take you have a backup /image before this started,I would hit it with this first Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses/rescuedisk burn to DVD and boot from it
takes a bit of time but very effective

Another good one is Emsisoft Emergency Kit http://www.emsisoft.co.nz/en/software/eek/
