We are currently on the RBI network and have a antenna on our roof and a modem to connect to the internet. We had a separate router a Netcomm N150 (that we used just for WIFI in our house) that just died. Attached (yeah it gets more tricky) to this router was also a ethernet cable that went al the way to our PS4.

So we replaced the dead router today with a Belkin N600DB. Funny thing was that we were unable to put the modem lan cable directly into the top port of the Belkin Router to "connect it" (which I thought was the port to connect the modem into) reading the manual I just found that this port is a WAN connection. However I managed to get the set up right again as we attached the PS4 lan cable to one of the other ports however the damn Belkin thing keeps blinking orange for some reason and needs to blink blue.... Is this because it does not have a "modem connection" (Gosh am hoping I am explaining it correctly!) What am i doing wrong?

At present all our devices are connected to the new Belkin Router and seems to be working properly

What type of "modem" do you have ?

Those types of Routers are often connected to Cable modems similar to Vodafone/Telstra Cable modems.

Have you set up the internet options in the router ? http://www.belkin.com/us/support-article?articleNum=8117

Number 6 on the following article is important depending on what your "Modem" is http://www.belkin.com/us/support-article?articleNum=10829
