I am unable to clear the timeline on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S 8.4". Does anyone have a solution to this issue please? It is running Android 4.4.2.

Thanks.

Timeline?

Yes. Under My Files at the top of the folder tree is Timeline which shows a list of all the files opened since, it appears, day dot. I can't get rid of the list. Google brings up posts in other forums asking the same thing but the solutions offered have not worked for me.

Yes, I have seen that thread and it didn't help. I was hoping someone here might have a better solution.

XDA is pretty much the most knowledgable collection of mobile enthusiasts there is - if they haven't found one, I doubt there is sorry. Personally, I use Astro, so I'd never noticed it. Would using an alternative file manage do what you want?

Managing the files is OK. I just don't like having hundreds of "recent documents" files listed. There are so many the list is of no use whatsoever. It's very poor design for Android not to allow users to clear it when required.

Touchwiz isn't Android as made by Google it's what Samsung adds on top of it ;)

Thanks for clarifying that and for your interest. I guess I will just have to put up with it.
