a complex idea i do have.

screens must dim after a few minutes of inactivity.
they must then depower moments later.
non servers must then sleep minutes later,
hybernating again moments later.

the entire process from last press to disk being approximately 13minutes

users are logged off at sleep, not at screen being depowered.

powerbutton depowers screen

i have a domain with 3 workstations/laptops and 1 server. (2 laptops, a windows 7 with softxpand( being replace imminently with server2016multipoint) and a server2016box which allows domain users to log in locally for video playback.

please help, im sure this is trivial.

also some way to get adblock plus for all clients and all browsers
or some way to integrate the amazing blacklist provided by mvps hosts into my dns server (the 2016 box)

do they still use those ? You end up with a hosts file 1/2 a mile long and never really up to date anyway.
Would a better way be to simply use opendns , the Parental Control option.

Maybee group policy for the power options you want ? never tried that myself, not sure if its an option .

i also want switching to the battery to set brightness to lowest, along with waking up on battery to set brightness to minimum.

switching to power leaves brightness as it was prior to being connected
