Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Chrome.
Windows7.
Google.co.nz as home page.
PC and netbook.

When I use the right click option Search Google for "..." the results are from Google.com, not Google.co.nz.
This means that the Search Tools menu doesn't have the Any Country option available to select New Zealand.

This has only happened in the last week or so.

How can I get the full Search Tools menu back?

My google search has just started using .com instead of .co.nz too. I have been manually changing the URL back to .co.nz so the search tools (location) are available.

You can just add NZ or site:NZ to your search to try and get the results you want.
I did prefer the old way where you had a "pages from NZ" option easily available by default but it still generally finds whatever I'm searching on.
I've never used the "Any Country" drop down before, just tried it by doing what Jen suggested and I can see how it might be useful.

Google probably thinks there is not much need for this since it started sorting results based on your location, generally the results nearest you should be on the top unless you use a proxy. Logging in to google and enabling sync can work well if you use multiple devices and are you not one of the people who considers it a privacy issue. My search results for example on the PC were using the last location from my cellphone to sort. Kinda cool or maybe a little worrying, depending on your viewpoint

There is a recent plugin here: http://mycroftproject.com/search-engines.html?name=google.co.nz&category=12 that adds google.co.nz to the list of search engines, and then you can set that as the default.

However I prefer to have google.com as the default search engine in Firefox since it eliminates lots of NZ pages that may not be relevant.
I just have a shortcut to google.co.nz and then you get the search tools options and any country.

There is a list of Google domains on Wikipedia: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Google_domains which is useful when you want to search specific countries like England, Germany or France, without having zillions of other pages thrown up.

Thanks Terry, I have added Google NZ to both IE and Firefox.
