View Full Version : Seagate External HDD dodgy cable

Hi guys,
My gf recently bought this (http://www.pbtech.co.nz/index.php?z=p&p=HDDSEA0419&name=Seagate-1TB-Expansion-Portable-2.5-USB-3.0-Externa) external hard drive, and the connector from the cable to the HDD is extremely dodgy. To make it connect takes a lot of fiddling, and then I feel bad about holding it in a position that does work, because its at a dangerous-looking angle. Has anyone else bought one of these HDDs? And does anyone know if it's worth taking it back, or is this a recurring problem in these? I can't find any reviews which mention this occuring.

As long as its not physically damaged ( not covered under warranty), take it back if its still in its warranty. While they do wear over time they shouldn't be lose like that. Copy or remove any data off of it first to some where else.

I have 4 of these and never had a problem with any. Suggest U take it back, get a refund and buy something else.

Sounds like your connector has something wrong with it
