Hi guys.
My sodden Vista died so installed Linux and going well, with one slight problem.
I have a Canon MG 2260 printer/scanner.
Got it set to print, no problem, but can't find out about scanner.
Any ideas?
Thanks,
Ian

You don't say what flavour of Linux you installed. But this might be helpful: http://linux.wikia.com/wiki/Getting_Canon_PIXMA_to_work_on_Linux

Have you tried? - most stuff just works.
I haven't done much scanning but the SANE backend is what you want installed.
There are also a few different front ends depending on your distro and DE.
The link below is canon's Linux page for your device but I'd try with the built in tools before getting possibly incompatible stuff from there.

My *buntu installs always include a program called "Simple Scan" which while very basic, has worked for me with every scanner I tried so far. I don't know which program you should try if you want any advanced image options though.
