Hi,

I note quite a few free text voice readers available. Can anyone recommend a FREE one please, easy to use, nice voice flow etc so I can listen to a few uni journals while doing some admin jobs.

Asking for recommendations following a recent bad experience downloading a freeware program - got my search bar bombed and took a bit to fix it...

As always, thanks for your assistance, Apo

Thanks Speedy, yes, have used it but its very complicated as you have to remember piles of keyboard combos such as control+shift+enter to start reading, something else to stop, something else to pause... don't you find it cumbersome when there are a lot more friendlier programs?

Whatever you do DON'T got to cnet or download.com. Their installers if you get the wrong one are full of malware. Filehippo may also have malware in their installs.

Have a look at some of these (https://www.google.co.nz/search?q=free+text+reader&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&aq=t&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&channel=sb&gfe_rd=cr&ei=aEYKVJ3wDKuN8QeXhYCgAg)

Some free TTS's compared (http://readplease.en.softonic.com/compare/textaloud,ttsreader,balabolka) to paid Text Aloud with reviews.

Thanks Speedy, Natural Reader Free works fine and is vastly more friendlier than Narrator... nice! Thanks again, Apo
