Went to check my Yahoo mail account online today, I haven't checked in a while but anyway

Entered username password, and it then came up with a phone verification thingie (same thing happens on my gmail account every few months), where you stick in your phone number and it txts you a code that you put into the box on screen etc

only problem is it keeps telling me to put in a valid phone number
lets pretend this is my number on Vodafone

There is a dropdown where you select

+64 New Zealand

0211234567

I have tried

+64211234567
00640211234567
0064211234567
0211234567
211234567

and about every variant I can think of

I am fairly sure it must start with

+64

because if it doesn't the dropdown reverts to the US.

But freaking hell i'm getting pissy

Sounds like you have done all the combinations. +64 is the norm for these type of things if it's coming from an overseas server,. Some local one just want 0211234567 format..

General includes the + sign to indelicate an international number..

Try putting in 06, 07, eg, whatever your area code is, in between the 64 and the 021 ?

Cellphones don't have area codes.

Has your number ever been ported to another provider? Which cell company are you with?

nope my number has never been ported always been with vodafone, also have a 2 degrees sim in the phone (dual sim) and that number wont work either

I have tried with and without the + sign

Ok solved

I feel rather dumb now

Went to the "I have a problem with my password" Which I didn't, and it sent a txt to my phone no worries, so all is now good

Until the next time
