I have just finished building my new computer and while getting MSE for windows 7, I got a popup from MSE once installed that there was a virus Trojan:Win64/Necurs.A found. I clicked the remove option in MSE.

Do I need to do any more to get rid of this?

If you told it to remove it then relax, it will have removed it.

Yes, you need to get rid of MSE its useless!Nonsense. You should quit giving bad personal opinions unless you state it's simply your personal opinion.

How do you get a trojan on a new build?
And MSE is ok, not the best anti-virus but far from useless.

USB flash drive?? Looks like that trojan or variants of it, can be copied / transferred using flash drives  General rule I use , is once installed, install a good antivirus first, then install programs, replace data. About the only exception on a windows PC is if using W8.

The only reason for saying W8 is at least it has some basic protection pre installed - The old MSE - now named defender.
