Toshiba laptop dropped from sofa hieght
neither the keyboard or mouse are recognized
plugged in external usb keyboard no change not recognized

~ hdd ok tested with Seagate

any suggestions before I have to tare it apart?

So it still turns on?? If an external KB doesn't work? How do you know, it doesn't work, if it doesn't turn on?

If you plug another kb in does it detect it / show the drivers are installing for it tho?

wow ~ booted have mouse & keyboard (just now)
device manager shows to drivers !
~ teredo tunneling pseudo-interface
~ ethernet controller

all seems to be working.

could have been re-seating the ram & hard drive

True something may have come loose. Dont think anything would have been damaged, if it fell on carpet

True something may have come loose. Dont think anything would have been damaged, if it fell on carpet Tell that to the persons laptop I have here :) fell on the carpet in her lounge, now its dead, bits flew off it as well when it hit :(
