View Full Version : Icons run away from Mouse

Youd think its a game, but whenever the mouse is moved close to a Icon on the Desktop, the Icons slide away.

Must be a Virus, but NAV scan shows nothing abnormal. Updated definitions 1 week back, did a complete scan.

So what Virus is this? and how do I restore things to normal.

the Magistr virus can do this, and it also has a habit of disabling Norton Anti Virus! ( u cant win either way can you!!!)

take a look at www.sarc.com for more details on the virus and how to get rid of it...good luck

Could be the Magistr virus, which seems to be making the rounds at the moment (my AV has picked it up in about 5 emails lately).

Have a look here:

Could be any number of other similar viruses though, so do a search at www.symantec.com (same as the above link) and see what you come up with. No idea why your AV didn't show up with anything - maybe its a new one!

Have you considered that it is a prank someone is pulling on you? Check out what programs are running in the background.

Just another option :-)

I vaguely remember a 'prank' program like this.... suggest you try moving your cursor around in the top corners of your desktop. If a control window appears, it's the program I'm thinking of.
