It may not have that option in the bios on that particular PC.
Its pretty easy to find in the bios's that do have this option.

It's usually in there, under power settings, same place you find what type of suspend mode you want etc.
Look up the manual for the board, it should tell you.

If you can't find it, post motherboard model here

No, that's the BIOS brand and version.
Need the motherboard model number.

You can probably find it out with a hardware info tool like SIW (http://www.gtopala.com/)

That is indeed a motherboard model number. Is that what's written on it?

Sorry, thought they had a good free version.

Anyway, assuming you haven't already downloaded the manual and found the answer, the BIOS setting you are looking for is under Power -> APM Configuration ->
Restore on AC Power Loss

Thanks heaps for that - just that this PC runs my weather station and Murphy's Law applies anytime we head away for a few days - the power goes off for a period too long for the UPS. So then start getting cheeky text messages and emails from radio stations etc!
Handled all the BS from that getopala - thank goodness for WinPatrol! Actually have Specky on my main PC and they have obviously changed a few things.
