Hi all,

I have a linux .iso that I would like to burn onto a USB that I can boot with on my mid-2012 Macbook Air.
Will it boot from the .iso or do Mac's only boot from .dmg's (if so, how would I convert it)?
Also, could a windows PC boot from the .iso as well as the MbA?

Thanks,
Nerdtastic

.iso and .dmg are just different formats of disk image it doesn't matter once it is mounted to a memory stick or burnt to a dvd/cd and yes a windows computer can boot from the same .iso (once mounted/burnt or in a virtual machine).

Thanks, trying to find that one out for a while :)
