Hi,
is Corsair Vengeance RAM any good?
I was going to get 8GB from iFocus for $75 :drool but the website is temporarily down and their store is closed?
Is it worth it to spend another $130 to get from Playtech or should I go for something else?

Thanks,
Nerdtastic

Sure, Corsair or G.Skill are both great imo. $75 sounds particularly low-priced, and I wouldn't be surprised if it's a mistake. Given that it's typically in the $125 - $150 range, it's a bit odd.

Yeah it's a good brand, I like Kingston myself just because I have never had an issue with it but corsair is good too. Not too much in the way of cheap & nasty available on the RAM front actually, most brands are ok. It's mainly a matter of checking it's compatible.

I forget from your other thread, what kind of RAM are you after? if it's DDR3 normal RAM try this page http://www.pp.co.nz/Memory-DDR3-DualChannel.php
$75 for 8Gb is not that unusual.

Does the red dot mean out of stock? Yep, out of stock, and dated 21/12/2012, so its 7 1/2 months out of date -- Hmmmmmmmmmm

if you click on the "add to cart" you get "Products marked with *** dont exist in desired quantity in our stock"

I got my Corsair Vengeance 1600MHz 2x4GB pack for about 80 NZD off an eBay store :) Now I realize how cheap I got them...
