View Full Version : Cordless wheel mouse- EXCEL

Hi

I have a problem, which occurs in Excel 97
When one tries to create a formula in Worksheet A, then move to Worksheet B AND use the scroll wheel on an MS cordless mouse, I get an IVP error that shuts down Excel. (See below for dump of the message)

Does anyone know of a workaround or solution to this problem?

Ron

I have the same sort of mouse, and no problems in Excel.

I bet if you change mouse and do it the same thing will happen. Worth trying if you have your old one kicking around.

I think you have to go back to basics and try unloading all the rubbish in your systray, then see how it behaves. Slowly add back things until you have identified what is causing the problem.

Do the mouse thing first, though.

Robo.

Hi Rob

Thanks for the advice
Have tried different mouse - same model at home and get same problem.

Will try a reinstall of the intellimouse software??

Thanks again but any other options would be appreciated.
