How do I 'burn' the video files to DVD so that I can play it in any DVD player?

Is Nero capable of doing the job? I've Nero installed.

Should do but there are smaller and better programs around. Depends what version of windows you're using. And what format the video is in. And whether it'll load it

Try DVD Flick (http://www.dvdflick.net/) - it creates the files structure as per a DVD from most formats, as well as allowing you to create menus, themes etc.

If you are using Vista or Wins 7 then the built in "DVD Maker" will do the trick. If however you have Wins 8 , MS in their wisdom decided not to include this any more!! Then DVD Flick is OK

The windows live programs include MS Movie maker which I think does the Job also. DVD maker as mentioned is actually pretty good but unless someone mentions it to you there's no obvious sign it's hiding in windows 7 waiting to be used.

A lot depends on the format of the video files and whether you want to create menus or edit anything. I haven't used Nero since windows 7 came out but the old versions certainly had the option to burn DVD Vido disks. Bear in mind you may need to reencode the video and it may be a slow job
