I would like to make a paper insert (with the DVD details on it) to put as an insert on my DVDs. Any suggestions as to which programme I could use to do this please?

Just create a page in word the same size as the case, or if you have PS, paint etc

Check the software that came with your printer, they often have this option.

What version of Word do you have?

There's plenty of Word templates online - find these through the Office website or Word itself. :)

Word 2010. I tried, but ran into a few difficulties. I have Ashampoo burning software 2012 - I have used that in the past - but seem to having some difficulties tonight. :(

Ashampoo burning 2012 does have the options to do exactly what you want ( thats what I use all the time) -- What problems are you having with it ?

This sounds daft, as I've used this successfully in the past. I don't seem to be able to get to the stage of actually adding in text (or pics - which aren't needed). I just seem to be going around in a loop of a new title with my name on it, but not able to go on from there.

What is the file format for these? If I knew that, I might be able to find the last work I did (quite some time ago, and I can't find it at the moment). That makes me sound even stupider.... :(

Right - after going around in circles - I have found my way again! Oh joy, oh happiness (well, at least for the moment...). :)

I would think finding the right size of paper, or cutting it by hand is going to be a problem. If you have this sorted, let us know, please.

I normally just click on the text Icon, and fill it in as required, once you click OK it places it in the Window and you can drag it anywhere you want, or use the formatting controls.

Excel is brilliant for making labels etc if all you want is text or basic images.

You can print a numbered grid and use it figure out exactly jow many cells high and wide to make a label then put a border around it and go from there. You can also adjust cell sizes by tiny amounts to adjust the size or use print scaling.

At work we create our own excel templates for all kinds of labels.

Alteratively many burning tools include label printing software.

Thanks for you willing help. It is appreciated! I think early dementia is kicking in.... :(

I think you are being too hard on yourself. If you haven't done a specific task for a while, it can take a bit of time to get yourself sorted again. :)

I agree, old procedural memories can become buried under strata of more recent procedures.:)
