I bought an Acer notebook running Windows 7 Starter last week.
Update History lists a number of failed updates. Is there a quick way to download all the fails or do I have to do it one by one?

Go to the windows\softwaredistribution folder, open the reportingevents txt file. There's a reason its failing. Post the last few lines of this file, in here. There's probably error codes here

Did you check for updates / try and install the updates?? And it still fails?

I'm still finding my way around Windows 7 Speedy. How do I get into windows\softwaredistribution folder?
I have checked for updates but there are no new ones to install just a load of previous failed ones.

Looks like those are successful messages. Were there any unsuccessful messages earlier in the log?

If nothing appears in updates now that you've checked., there are none. I wouldnt worry about it. The failed ones have probably installed sometime

Thanks Speedy and Jen.
I sorted through the confusion by clicking on the Name column in the Update History page. This made it much easier to check and found that all but 2 fails had successfully up dated within c. 24 hrs.
The 2 remaining fails (both twice) are KB2829530 and 2847204.
