Lately I've been noticing that sometimes when I go to www.youtube.com and / or www.facebook.com the page doesn't display at all. No error message, just a plain white page.

It's really weird.

This is in Chrome, tried it in IE, same thing. Win XP Home.

Any ideas?

In Chrome, push Ctrl + Shift + J, then click on "Network" and THEN browse to youtube.com and post the results.

You can also try Ctrl + Shift + R to force a refresh without using local cache.

Ctrl + Shift + R produces the same result.

What Antivirus software do you have - Both Bitdefender and Avast have been known to cause this problem.

Also if flash is playing up it can do weird things, go to find-version-flash-player.html (http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html) and see if the demo works OK.

I have MSSE.

I just tried it and it's working now.

Really strange.

Flash player is up to date.

Gah! It's happening again. I was watching a youtube video, then tried to navigate to another. Same weird thing.

You're *infected*! :D

Download the following:
NOD32 (Free 30 day Trial)
Spybot S&D
Malwarebytes (Free)

Run a full scan with the lot of them. Post your results.

Good luck :)
