i know its possible, my model likely has a removable gpu card, where am i to source a replacement?

A laptop gpu is not normally replaceable.

Chances are you'll have to get a second hand one. Doubt there are many places that will sell them new. Try ebay.

Even if it possible, sourcing the gpu for a laptop will be very expensive for what you get.

ive seen reviews so surely i can buy one easily enough.

If heat is an issue I'd be looking at cleaning out dust from the laptop first.

Laptop model number? Might help us tell you what will fit in your machine (if at all) and what will work :)

But if it's just a cooler GPU you're after then dust cleaning or modding the origional cooler might be a better monetry spend ;)
