I'd be interested to find out if anyone in NZ sells it...

I read somewhere recently (can't remember where) of a place that did very intensive testing of about 100 different AVs, and Panda scored highest (stopping EVERY virus thrown at it - known and unknown), then Norton (it let about 3 through, but not major ones) and then McAfee (which let 4 or 5 through)...

Have you tried searching this web site http://www.dse.co.nz

Dick smith website. if you find it just print out the page or write down the product code and go to the nearst store.

No I don't work for them. I just haven't found another equivalent yet

Hi again.

Yes Mike you are correct, it is a very good product from everything that I have read as well.

I did look on the DSE site before posting but there wasn't any Panda product listed, that I could find.

Still searching :-)

Panda's a new one to me. I use InoculateIt! which is free and beats Nortions or McAfee hands down. In fact it caught the badtrans virus just a few minutes ago. The unfortunate thing is that there is no further development being done on it as the authors have moved to a paid program. However, they are still issuing the new signatures (as evidenced today). You can still find it around the web if you search or, if you want a copy, I'll email one. Just send me a pvte email.

Hi,
I am an account manager at ComputerLand Wanganui, just been doing research on virus checkers.

We sell a lot of PC-cillin, was surprised on how it handled unknown virus's without a current update.

Kaipara Computer Systems imports retail copy's of the latest versions (2005) of both panda platinum and titanium, retail meaning when you purchase it you get a box with a cd and a product registration card with an activation code, enter your details + activation code at (http://www.pandasoftware.com/support click on product registration) and then you will recieve a user name and password which must be entered into panda.
Panda anti virus has a very good update system we are noticing manily between 10 to 100 virus definitions update per day
The PC Fix in dunedin is also currently selling panda products
