Hi all,
I accidentally disabled the driver for my speakers (or the devices thing in the control panel) so they don't work now. Can I enable this driver again? The speakers are connected to the Audio Out port in the back of my PC.
If I can't enable is again, what can I use instead?
Thanks!

Look in Device Manager (right click Computer-Properties-Device Manager) and see if any audio devices have a yellow exclamation mark. If so right click on properties and re-enable or update drivers,

You may also have a Sound Manager sometimes accessible from the System Tray, if so look in there to see if somehow you have disabled the speakers.

I assume the audio chips are "on-board" the motherboard, not a seperate card. Usually the CD / DVD that came with the motherboard has all the drivers on it, and usually the CD / DVD is set to auto-start... so try that.

The next option is delete the audio driver, and see if it reinstalls on reboot.

Lastly, download the driver from the motherbord manufacturer.
