Hi guys.
Just some XMAS cheer , a bit of FYI & something to test over xmas

It seems , that even though you have disabled insecure WPS, some routers wont actually disable it because of firmware bugs
Just to make things worse, many routers have a WPS backdoor key built in, & its very easily hackable/cracked .

More info here, including a link to tools to test if your wifi is vulnerable

"Shockingly, selecting the option to disable WPS on some routers doesnít actually do anything! The configuration screen might say that WPS is disabled, but it actually isnít. (Iíll also come back to this in a moment.)"

Well that's a handy "feature" isn't it? :D

Wow, that's pathetic.

When I am ever in the market to buy a new router, I'll be going straight for one that can run an open-source firmware!

Not sure when that will be though. Currently there are no such security issues with my wired network.
