Don't forget this is Mayan standard time so it will be the 22nd here. So don't be too disappointed if the 21st comes and goes and your still alive..

Nobody's got it right yet :/

History sure does have a lot of idiots hiding their embarrassment the day after.

I find the most common theme being the promoter of the doomsday is typically towards the end of their senior years, or will be very aged at the time of their predicted disaster... they can't seem to see life goes on for others once they're gone.

What load of old rubbish. People have predicting the end of the world for years and nothing has happened

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_dates_predicted_for_apocalyptic_events

And NASA say its not going to happen

This bloke is the most optimistic.

"Look on the bright side. If the world ends on Friday, at least Cardiff City will be top of the Championship for the rest of eternity. Sadly won't get promoted though.. shame after so many years of playoff disappointment."

I thought our gov't endorsed the "Zapped on the 21st" theory?
Well, based on their forward planning anyway. ;)

I think the Mayan calendar is based on National policy so it probably will be the end of the earth as we know it

Pretty tragic how many of them are Christians or from some form of biblical-based religion, clearly didn't read Matthew 24:36 / Matthew 24:44... stupid idiots!

Mayan calendar did not include the leap year.
As far as I can tell:
Caesar created leap years in 45 B.C.
There has been about 514 leap years since then,
which would make it like 6 or 7 months ago.
But then I don't think the world will end just because a calender does.
My calender at home ends at the end of every year but I don't panic! : )

If the Mayans were still around they'd just be making a new calendar.
Why anyone thinks arbitrary numbers assigned to mark the passing of time have any significance is beyond me.
If I make a new calendar and declare today the 1/1/1 will something significant happen ?

Lol...why should the earth end on the 21st anyway? The Mayans were just a primitive people. How could they possibly predict the end sooo many years ago?

Its kinda funny seeing that they never actuly predicted the end of the world at this date, its simply just a cycle in their calander much like the year or month but obviously alot longer.

I think we should be more worried about the year 7600002012 as scientist predict the sun will engulf the earth in 7.6 billion years.

Yeah,, see you in the nut house...

I'm already here... because no one believes that I'm the second-coming of Jesus because God told me so... the guy next door just yelled out "No I didn't!"

But really... world ending... No. 2012 ending.... Of course as did the 2011 years before this one... (and years prior JC).
Running out of space to put dates on a rock is no sign of the end :)

Yup it sure does smell... Big gap in the theory... Got me feeling a little bummed... Should I keep going? :D But then again I can't be ar$ed....

There is no sense in any of these end of the world predictions except the one where the sun will go supernova at some point billions of years from now, which is based on actual observations and logical thought.

The rest is all just a mass delusion like religion in general.
