these are both solidworks errors but both give you an indication how well the software has been programmed. they were so good i had to take a screen shot of both ages ago.

I've seen many over the years, don't know how many I've kept.. I'll try to find some... Here's a strange web error and one from my dodgy old Ti4200...

Edit: Also Xtra Go Large was awesome!

I've seen a few tongue-in-cheek errors spit out from the Linux kernel... just can't think of anything specific right now...

What about those people that ring you and say there is something wrong with your computer?

kernel:[661991.825513] Uhhuh. NMI received for unknown reason 3d on CPU 0.

Message from syslogd@acer-lappy at May 12 13:57:48 ...
kernel:[661991.825516] Do you have a strange power saving mode enabled?

Message from syslogd@acer-lappy at May 12 13:57:48 ...
kernel:[661991.825518] Dazed and confused, but trying to continue

I must admit, I'm a bit like that when I wake up too ...

Not really a strange error... but it's supposed to be in English!

Somehow I think a few system files were replaced with German versions.. or something. As I recall it actually came right after a month or so, probably after Windows update.

Most errors I see start with the letter I followed D which is followed by the number 10 with a T on the end

The best error messages are the ones accompanied by the statement "This error should never happen" or words to that effect.

Then you know you're really screwed!

The best error I've seen was when a friend left a computer to be fixed. I wasn't home when she called to pick it up, but she took my desktop machine away and left her laptop. SWMBO said that friend said it seemed heavier. I think her difficulties in opening it at her home to try and access the keyboard and screen convinced her that all was not 100%. The fact that my unit was black, large, had a window in the side and the usual number of connections she had to remove before she could carry it away did not register. Maybe she was multitasking?

Looks like the nicer version of "This error should never happen"

Atleast its honest in admiting its mistakes rather than making you feel gulty.

Nope, but I took a lot of convincing that SWMBO wasn't having me on when I came home for lunch.

Another one I've always loved (note at the time I may or may not have been downloading naughty files) IE has performed an illegal operation" - There should be an option of "Because it exists".

Now don't be so damned silly Agent!

Obviously there are smarter people around than you or I!

There is a right and a wrong way to put a CD or DVD in your typical A: Drive

As demonstrated in the photo below, showing the right way to do it!

Of course..... I'm forgetting that unlike a CD drive, floppy drives have two heads.

It must be that one needs to bisect the disc and insert the two halves back-to-back to enable correct reading of the data. Silly of me really, to make some moronic joke about smashing the thing in there with a hammer!
