With bluetooth tech these days the headphones you get really depend on personal preference, i wouldnt think any would have poor quality signal or bad battery life.

1. Are you looking for on ear or an over ear design?
2. What music style?

As Slanky said, it's all up to preference and style. Of course I'd avoid the ones marketed at gamers, in addition to being vastly over priced they'll probably perform just as well as a cheaper pair targeted at casual music listeners.

In addition to what Slanky asked I'd consider asking yourself about where you will be listening (Noise cancelling or not?) will you want to make calls with it (Mic/other control buttons such as volume)

Remember, Bluetooth is Bluetooth, don't get sucked into paying more for something that is marketed for iPhones unless it specifically includes a feature or style you want/like. The Bluetooth headset protocol is a standard and will work with all phones, computers and Bluetooth devices that support the headset protocol. Just because it says designed for iPhone doesn't make it better/worse than any other BT Headset.

Thanks guys for so far

Ok, so all blue tooth all good - don't have to get iRipped off :)

I want the head phones for use in our soon to be open plan office and at the gym for on the cross trainer etc

My wife wants for tread mill and i suspect danicng around the house whwn i am not home..

I prefer heavy metal down to Fallout 3 sound tracks - my wife is more main stream?

Cheers in advance

Just music then?

Based off that I'd recommend considering some in ear ones, you don't want big sweaty over ear type ones when you're in the gym. Plus you'll look a bit daft and they won't stay on properly when running.

Perhaps take a look at these: https://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921666414121 Although they fit the bill they sure are pricey!! What's your budget like? That will help narrow things down.

The reason I looked at the Sony ones is because I saw mention of the Sony MW600's being very good, unfortunately Sony don't sell them any more although you can view the specs (just close the popup box) ( https://store.sony.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&productId=8198552921666198163) Thankfully eBay have several sellers listing the MW600's, if they really seem to fit your bill they might be worth a look. Especially as they are about $50 USD. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p5197.m570.l1313&_nkw=Sony+MW600&_sacat=0&_from=R40

From what I have seen BT headphones are expensive, my advice is to search the net to find a style, feature set and price that suits. Quality shouldn't be an issue unless you go too cheap but since BT Headphones are somewhat a speciality item the sound tends to be good with most major brands. As I said before, compatibility wise you can't go wrong really although if you are unsure just ask, someone will be able to set you right.

Best of luck.

I read a lot of the reviews these guys make. Because it's bluetooth, it doesn't really matter if it's Android or iOS, it's the same, but these guys do some good reviews. Skim through them:
