It's that time of year again - Christmas Dinner for over 2,000 Aucklanders, and I'm hoping you guys can help me raise funds to make this happen.

The average cost for a child's Christmas present at the Auckland City Mission lunch is $8 and a lunch costs around $10 so any money that you can give will help tremendously.

This year, the Auckland City Mission is asking all of its volunteers to ask their friends, family and colleagues to sponsor them for the time they donate.

My personal goal is to raise $150 for the Mission, and I'm kicking it off by donating $15.

For more info, go to

Help make Christmas, Christmas (http://www.fundraiseonline.co.nz/Walt/)

Hope you can help by sponsoring me!

A mate just did a run the length of the south island using it, he did pretty well!

By the way
(1) Because free to air TV is useless now I sometimes buy a DVD, when I have seen it, donate it to the local "red cross" shop.

(2) as I walked around one day, someone asked me for $10 so he could go to Wellington, I did not give him $10 because I know it costs a lot more to go from Auckland to Wellington than $10.

(3) also as I walk around Auckland strangers ask me for "loose change" the next day you see them smoking. (I think, screw the smokers)
