i got a brother dcp 330c printer and scanner from my friend , and the yellow and cyan ink cartidges are empty ,how can i print black and white ,
and how can i be sure that the printer is working properly , the scanner is fine i've tried it .
the red ! lamp is on ,

You can't print white, only black.

Change the print settings (printer software options) to Black only - it may say Grayscale.
Some printers don't have this setting though.

It keeps your costs way down if you only print in white.

i used greyscale , it didn't work .
when printing windows says there's is an error .
and the printer is in offline mode , what is the problem ??

Some printers need a full set of ink cartridges to even print in black and white, they just won't print at all unless all are full.

The print heads still heat up regardless of whether the ink is flowing or not this can cause damage if you have a empty cartridge.
