View Full Version : Keyboard Recommendation

I work as a contract software developer. I put together a new PC a couple of years ago and bought a Belkin keyboard. The keys were so stiff that after typing for a while my hands would ache. I replaced this with a Logitech keyboard. I've forgotten the model number, but it was of a similar size and feel to the keyboard on a laptop. My hands breathed a sigh of relief. However I never got used to its narrower layout, consistently hitting the wrong key. So... I replaced this with a Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution setup. Though this is considerably better than the Belkin when I work long hours my hands/fingers still ache. I never got this with the other Logitech. So.... what I'm looking for is a keyboard with a very light key action and shorter key travel. The ideal would be a laptop kind of feel with a standard PC keyboard layout. Any recommendations gratefully received.

PS. Anyone want to purchase a Logitech Cordless Desktop MX 5500 Revolution package?

considering the length of time gamers can spend in a session, perhaps look into a gaming keyboard? They can be quite expensive but might be what you're looking for, perhaps not one with tonnes of macro keys though.

This is cool, except the thread is from 2005 and I don't think any of the recommendations are available anymore.
