Got my self a new acer laptop today!

But the laptop has a one large Partition (647 GB Free) (33.6 GB used (Windows)), so I want to create another Partition (maybe even 2)

Any suggestions on free Partition software??

PartedMagic live CD which will also give numerous other useful programs. It uses GParted and it is free.

Lately I've been using AOMEI Partition Assistant (http://www.disk-partition.com/product.html) Theres a free version - you install it, and work from that, or gives the option to make a bootable CD ( which is what I use) works very nice and its simple to use. The page - Manuals (http://www.disk-partition.com/manual.html) has full instructions if you do get stuck, but its so easy you dont really need them.

The snap-in disk management could do that, you should notice that, your disk must be MBR, therefore, you could make at most 4 primary partitions or three primary partitions with one extend partition( you could make a lot of logical partitions under extended partition).
I use the Partition Assistant also, it allows me to create primary partition or logical partition freely.
