Attemting to install Lubuntu 12.04 alongside a xp system.
Won't go past trhe "Who are you" bit.
I don't wish to have a password.
The continue button is alluminated but won't do anything.
Does it have to have a password?

Apparently you do.
I put one in & it moved on.
Just hope I can remove it later.

Dont know about lubuntu but with ubuntu once you have logged in there is an option to "autologin" which would get you to the desktop without having to enter a password.
You will still need to enter the password to get root access to install software etc. (although I think you can get that over ridden too if you wish but that makes it alot less secure)

You are correct regarding the auto login
However I was unable to complete the installation due to insuficient memory.
Finished up having to install the alternate/lite version.
This is on an old Pentium III with 500mb ram.
Have been playng round & getting familiar with it.
Been trying to get it on to my home network.
What an act, bit like setting up win 3.1
