View Full Version : Delete registry keys owned by trusted installer

I had a computer audio interface that I uninstalled. It has left keys in the registry that I want to delete. However I can't, they are owned by trustedinstaller and no matter if I log in as adminstrator or whatever else I do I can't set permissions on the keys so that I can delete them. I tried using psexec to start regedit but this didn't work either. How do you change permissions on keys owned by trustedinstaller? Any help hugely appreciated.

Select the main key in the registry / select permissions / advanced / owner tab. Select you / tick replace owner down the bottom. Then OK. Then, you should be able to delete the key. Why do you want to delete the key/s?? Is it coming up with an error, when you try to install a file or something?
