I have an old computer which i am unsure what to do with it, i dont need a server and i know i wont get much for it but thought i might offer it to somebody on the forum before i put it on Trademe or the likes , i dont even have an idea whats it would be worth
Asus mobo LGA 775 socket Rev 1207 Intel 945P
CPU Pentium D Dual core 3.4 GHZ overclocked to 3.9 GHZ using ASus Ai Booster 4Gb Ram
Seagate Sata2 HDD 150 GB
GE Force 7300 GS graphics card
Floppy drive and Sony DVD writer
Xp with service pack3

I live in Meadowbank Auckland so i would prefer a pickup if anybody was interested, its old technology now but runs good and the card was good enough to run FlightsimX

How much are you looking for it?
I frequently donate PC's to members of the church / community when they're in need and things. Something like that I'm sure I could find a good home for pretty quick?

It would be a good little unit for general knocking around. The only really negative thing I would suggest is that Hyena PSU - not known to be the most reliable.

Ive had the PSU for a while , its only 300 as well which as you know not very powerful, what would the machine be worth , any ideas , im not greedy

As a comparison, there area few on trademe, similar spec's give or take -- $200 -$250 range.

Mind you some idiots on TM think a 2Ghz Dual Core = 4Ghz

I guess the 7300GS would be drawing bugger all power, they're not really even considered a "mid-range" card these days are they?

Dunno what something like this would go for? I got a C2D 2.8Ghz with 4GB RAM & 250GB HDD (No GPU, just onboard) for $145 off TradeMe a few months back that I use as a spare system to test parts on, and as a secondary machine for when friends come over. I'd presume you'd probably get similar? Maybe slightly less coz that was at the very start of this year? Dunno, I don't often keep up with pricing, I usually just end up giving things away :p

Pity your not in Nelson. I blew up my old one that runs my 3D printer so having to run it off my good netbook at the moment

Yea its a pity, but with transport costs it would kill the cheap price

Exactly I will source one locally, or at this point since I can't get a job here and need to start looking in Christchurch I will source one down there

Which ASUS mobo is it? How many sata ports does it have?? If I brought it, I would probably remove all the IDE devices. And change them for SATA. And chuck 64 bit on it. It'll make the case a bit tidier. Thats what I did here. Disabled the IDE port.
