When an email (Gmail) is downloaded to my mobile phone, it is removed from my gmail when accessing from my computer. How do I leave a copy so that it is still available for me to view it through my PC?

Is it possible at all?

Cheers

Set the phone up to use IMAP on the gmail account rather than pop3.

Yes, symbian. Anything wrong with it? It's a great phone especially the GPS!

No, nothing wrong, I was just a bit surprised. At least the x6 has a capacitive touchscreen instead of a resistive one. To set it up, go into your app drawer or similar. Open up the email setup app, not the email app, and set it up. Use the manual option, and select the imap instead of the pop3 option.

There should be an option along the lines of "Never delete from server" on any decent mail client...

In your Gmail account go to settings, forwarding and POP/IMAP and select the option to keep email in Gmail inbox etc.

This one

IMAP will eat up unnecessary bandwidth if you have a lot of folders.
